We are thrilled to announce that Yachad's 6th annual festival will be presented as part of INTERSECTIONS at the Atlas Performing Arts Center March 9-10.
We are also honored to be selected as one of the Humanities Council of Washington, D.C. major grantees for 2013. The Humanities Council is an affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
The Our City Film Festival is the only festival that showcases DC-focused films. We encourage filmmakers to make films that will bring our communities together and celebrate the rich cultures, stories and scenes that make up Washington, DC. Started in 2008 by Yachad, a DC non-profit committed to affordable housing and community development, the festival acts as an outreach effort and is now entering its sixth year. Since 2008 we have launched filmmakers careers, helping them gain audiences, press attention, cash prizes and television deals and our loyal audience looks forward to our festival every year. We welcome everyone to Our City whether you are a filmmaker, audience member or possible partner.
